Chrissy Cogdell is the co-founder of First Touch Family, a Christian nonprofit ministry she and her husband, Blake, founded following the loss of their son, Christopher, in 2016. Having walked through the heartbreak of losing loved ones, Chrissy understands the pain of grief, the weight of guilt and shame, and the hope found in the freedom of Christ.
Through her testimony and ministry, Chrissy shares how God can bring beauty from ashes, even when life looks nothing like we imagined. She loves sharing the truth of God's redeeming love and encouraging others to trust Him in the middle of life's hardest seasons. Her heart is to remind others that brokenness does not have to be the end of the story and that, through Jesus, there is hope, healing, and purpose even in our deepest pain.
Chrissy is the proud mother of seven children, whom she fondly refers to as “his, mine, and theirs,” with one of her children now in Heaven. She is also Mimi to fifteen grandchildren. She loves to travel, is a self-proclaimed friend collector, and delights in meeting people from all walks of life. Chrissy firmly believes in the power of community and connection and that women are meant to cheer one another on, celebrate each other's victories, and walk alongside one another through life's challenges. Whether sharing her story or connecting with someone new, Chrissy loves reminding others that we are never meant to do life alone.
