Dear Daniel,

Your mom, Barbara, tells us you loved your job and that your family meant the world to you. She says you were an amazing son and a devoted dad, someone whose smile lit up every room and whose love reached everyone around you.

She also tells us we lost you to depression — a reminder of the battles so many carry quietly. In your memory, she asks us to live with compassion, to look out for one another, and to always choose kindness.

Daniel, you are deeply loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.

We can’t wait until our reunion in Heaven.
