Dear James,
Your family tells us that your life was one of service, faith, and deep love for the people around you. From a young age, you had a natural gift for understanding machines, a talent that carried you into the Army where you proudly served as an Apache Helicopter Crew Chief, helping ensure the success and safety of every mission.

Your family says one of the greatest parts of your story began when you married your high school sweetheart, best friend, and soulmate, Kim, on August 15, 1991. Together you built a life centered on faith, family, and serving others.

Even after your military career changed direction, your desire to help others never faded. As a coach, educator, and youth leader, you poured into the lives of students and young people, always eager to guide, encourage, and share your faith.

Your family remembers how much you loved spending time with them—especially your granddaughters, nieces, and nephews. Whether you were working on projects, racing RC cars, or enjoying the outdoors, the moments you shared created memories they will carry forever.

They say your generous heart, unforgettable laugh, and willingness to help anyone in need are the things they will miss most. Your life made a lasting impact, and your love continues to live on through the family and friends who will always remember you.

We can't wait for our reunion in Heaven.
