John Mark Lee Jones met Jesus face to face March 27, 2026.

Dear John Mark,

Your family tells us that you were 19 years old when you passed from meningitis after the flu. Though your time on earth was far too short, the impact you made on your family and friends was immeasurable.

A freshman at Texas Tech studying Biology, you were a young man full of adventure and love for your friends and family. What a gift to be adopted as an embryo through Nightlight Christian Adoptions and blessed with an extraordinary forever family. You made their little family complete and became one of the two greatest joys of your parents’ lives.

Everyone who knew you felt loved by you. You were intentional about loving others and had a special way of making people feel seen and important. You were a deep thinker with many philosophical questions, big dreams for the future, and a curiosity about life that made you uniquely you.

You were smart, talented, funny, and so witty. But perhaps one of the most beautiful parts of your legacy is the way you loved people. That love continues to live in the hearts of everyone who was blessed to know you.

You are missed more than words can express, but the hope of Heaven gives your family something to hold onto.

We can't wait for our reunion in Heaven.
