Dear Kate,

You were only four and a half when your family and friends had to say goodbye, but in those precious years, you filled their lives with a joy and love so big it will never fade. You were their everything—their sunshine, their laughter, their love.

You fought so bravely, Kate. Everyone was so proud of you. You showed the world what strength and courage truly mean, even when the days were hard. When you smiled, the whole world felt brighter, and your laughter still echoes in the hearts of those who love you.

Your mommy and daddy carry your memory with them everywhere they go. Every place, every moment, every thought—it all ties back to you. You’ll always be the light of their lives, the reason they keep going.

You inspire us all to be better, to love more deeply, and to cherish every moment.

Every day, in ways big and small, we feel the space you’ve left, but we also feel your presence. In the whisper of the wind, in the warmth of the sun, and in the love we share with others, you are there.
