Matthew Lee Pope met Jesus face to face on January 10, 2023.

Dear Matthew,

From the moment you were born in Denver on November 3, 2005, you brought a light to the world that only grew brighter with time. As the oldest of four brothers, you were a protector, a provider, and a loving son who worked hard to take care of your family. Your dedication to welding, working cattle and horses, and your time at the sale barn in Navasota showed a maturity and work ethic beyond your years.

You loved your mama fiercely, supported your brothers with strength, and lived life with a heart full of faith. Whether it was hog hunting in your free time or sharing your love for Jesus with others, you left a legacy of kindness, hard work, and unwavering belief in the Lord.

Your memory will forever inspire those of us lucky enough to have known you.

We can’t wait to meet you in heaven.
