Blayne Mounger
Jarod Blayne Mounger met Jesus face to face May 1, 2022.
Dear Blayne,
Not a day goes by that your name doesn’t bring both a smile and a tear, but while our hearts broke, heaven gained a soul full of compassion, light, and strength.
You lived with a quiet boldness—skating through life (literally!) on your electric board, running mile after mile, loving sports, music, and the joyful chaos of your dogs, Izzy and Tucker. But beyond all that, it was your heart of service that set you apart. You were always ready to help others, always ready to give—right down to your final, selfless gift as an organ donor. That’s who you were.
As a Registered Nurse at Houston Methodist, especially during the hardest days of COVID-19, you stood on the front lines with courage and care. Your patients loved you. Your coworkers admired you. You carried your calling with pride, and you left your mark on every life you touched—whether in the ICU, the classroom, or just in everyday moments.
Your family misses you more than words can ever capture. Your kind heart, your beautiful smile, your faith, your laughter. But they hold tight to the memories, and the peace of knowing your faith was deep and sure.
You gave so much in your time here, Blayne. And your legacy of love, excellence, and faith lives on in all of us who were blessed to know you.
We can’t wait for our reunion in heaven.
Until then…
You are loved Blayne Mounger and never forgotten.
Much love,
Your First Touch Family
