Dear Jacob,

Your family tells us that from the moment you were born, you were a blessing—a light in the lives of everyone lucky enough to know you. That huge smile, contagious laughter, and those unforgettable piercing blue eyes made it impossible not to love you. You had a way of lighting up even the darkest moments, simply by being yourself.

You loved Jesus, your family, your friends, and the great outdoors. Whether you were hunting, fishing, bowfishing, or just spending time outside, it was clear that creation felt like home to you. Your childhood was filled with laughter, adventure, and memories that your loved ones will carry with them forever.

You were a loving Son, Brother, Uncle, Friend—and a soon-to-be Father. You are so loved and missed every single day. And though your time here ended far too soon, your legacy lives on in the sweetest way. Your precious son, Jacob, is here—and he looks just like you. We know you would be so proud of him. We can’t wait to watch him grow, and we feel your presence watching over us all from Heaven.

To know you was to be encouraged, to be heard, and to be loved. You made everyone feel like family. You were always ready to help, always up for a project, and never backed down from a challenge. You were stubborn, driven, incredibly smart, and full of heart. And your hugs? The best. The kind that stay with you.
