Dear Shelby,

Your family tells us that you were a bright light from the very beginning. As the first born of a set of triplets, it became you and Seth against the world, while your sibling Sloan was already in heaven watching over you.

Your family remembers how you sometimes acted like people bothered you, but they say the truth was that you had the biggest, softest heart. You were a friend to everyone and loved people deeply, even if you didn’t always show it in obvious ways.

They say your faith in Jesus was at the center of who you were. After going on a mission trip to Romania, something in your heart changed, and you became even more passionate about sharing God’s love with the world. You wanted everyone you met to know the same love and hope that you had found.

Your family says they feel blessed to have been part of your life. Though you are missed every day, they know the world is a better place because you were in it.

We can’t wait for our reunion in Heaven.
