Thomas “TJ” Murray, Jr.
November 23, 1987 ——
Thomas “TJ” Murray “when you entered the world we knew you were meant for us. At 5 years old, God showed us through your fighting spirit and battle with leukemia that prayer works and we serve a BIG God.”
“You know when a child is sick, really sick, and they ask you ‘Mom, am I going to die?’ It changes your world.” Even in the midst of all of that, TJ had the biggest heart for others and especially his mom.
When he was at treatment at Texas Children’s he had his Aunt take him to the gift shop to buy his mom a Mother’s Day gift. “The prettiest pair of ruby colored clip on earrings you have ever seen.”
TJ loved to run long distance and was pretty good at it. In away that seemed to be his escape from having started life on a hard note.
He attended and volunteered at The Methodist Church in The Woodlands. There is no doubt that TJ loved Jesus.
TJ went missing in October of 2011 at the young age of 23. He was studying physiology at Sam Houston. He still had a lot to learn (like we all do) but his heart wanted to help others. “I couldn’t wait to see what the future held.”
To date TJ’s family and friends do not know what happened to him.
TJ, our warrior, fighter, you overcame so much. Our hearts long for answers this side of heaven that we may never get, but we know with certainty we will see you again for eternity.
We can’t wait for our reunion in Heaven!
Until then…
You are loved, Thomas “TJ” Murray and never forgotten.
