William (Will) Murray

William (Will) Murray met Jesus face to face on July 17, 2012.

Dear Will,

We’ve come to know you not through conversations or shared memories, but through the ones who love you most—and in their words, your life shines brightly.

They tell us you are son number three of four boys, a proud Murray through and through. In the rhythm of your family, you brought a warmth that stood out—kind, welcoming, inclusive. The kind of person who made others feel like they belonged.

From what we’ve been told, the outdoors was your sanctuary. Hunting, fishing, exploring—you had a love for creation that couldn’t be contained. And it wasn’t just about the adventure itself. You wanted to bring others along. It brought you joy to see others light up the way you did in the open air.

You followed that love with purpose. After high school, you went to Sam Houston State, where you played baseball your freshman year—because of course you did. You lived fully, whether on a field or in a field. You were in your third year, studying Criminal Justice, chasing a dream that was deeply you: becoming a Game Warden.

You were almost there.

But even though that title wasn’t placed on your chest here on earth, we believe the heart of it—the protector, the steward, the servant—was already alive in you. It was in who you were. And now, Heaven’s wild places are your own, and we imagine you still walking them, smile wide, blue eyes bright, inviting others to come along.

You were, as your family says, a beautiful soul. And now, you are a beautiful memory that still moves and inspires, a legacy of kindness and love that continues to grow.

We can’t wait for our reunion in heaven!

Until then…

You are loved, William Murray, and never forgotten.

Much love,

Your First Touch Family
